Philosophy
 
My philosophy for cutting, coloring and styling hair emanates from my desire to integrate visual texture and design to complement individual hair type. My appointment begins with a thorough consultation to identify your specific needs, followed by a five minute scalp massage, shampoo and conditioning treatment. I work with women and men, all textures and density, including curly hair. I believe that every client deserves the highest level of personal attention and I strive to provide the haircut that best reflects your character and lifestyle.
 
Training
 
After being licensed in Washington and California, I completed a three year Vidal Sassoon based apprenticeship at the internationally acclaimed Cowboys and Angels Salon in San Francisco. I was fortunate to have trained under some of the top creative stylists in the industry. After completing my apprenticeship, I worked as a full-time stylist and educator at the salon. I learned a great deal and enjoyed the six years I spent there, and in 1999 decided to strike out on my own. I am very interested in the artistic detail of hair design and incorporated color as part of my services at Shapes studios. I have chosen to practice at Shapes studios as it offers a holistic approach to healthy hair, body and mind. It provides a creative and positive atmosphere where all aspects of my practice have come to fruition.
